Travel
Hungary is not only great for walking around or visiting museums. There you can take up a boat trip or a chill out on the beach of the famous Balaton Lake.
You may enter the country by airplane, train or bus. From airport it is very easy to get to the city center by bus where it is possible to pay by card.
Through out the year Hungary announces the “Night of museums” days. At that time you may buy 1 ticket and visit almost all museums in the country (check the list first) which gives you opportunity to save a significant amount of money.
Here are some main activities and sights I have discovered in Hungary:
  1. Museums
2. Beaches
There are 2 options of having beach holidays: Danube beaches or Balaton beaches.
The first is less complicated as you may find its near to Budapest or visit other cities that are closed to Danube.
For the second option you will need transport (i.e. train ticket) to get there. Balaton is surrounded by different small cities, most of them are named with ‘Balaton’ in the beginning but not in every city you will be able to find a free beach. in addition to that, the depth of the lake may also vary.
Ruin clubs have become a part of hungarian culture.
The interiors of the ruin bars are eclectic, with graffiti on the walls, retro items, street art and music.
Since these are so popular among tourists and some locals, in the evenings, general fun and endless parties reign in the ruin bars, and the smells of alcohol and hookahs are in the air so the guests enjoy the evening and night life in a relaxed atmosphere.
Although the ruin bars have common features, nonetheless, its are all different. Some are literally ruin-ruin bars, while others bear only the remote features of the ruins and look more like ordinary pubs.
3. Ruin Clubs and Pubs
